私の歩み
40年以上にわたる金融ITのキャリアを振り返ると、私は常に金融業界の変革と技術革新の最前線に身を置いてきました。
金融と経営、システム開発とITガバナンス、そして国内外の金融機関、ベンダー、ハイパースケーラーをつなぐ「橋渡し役」として、新しい技術や新しいビジネスに挑戦し続けることができたことは、私にとって大きな財産です。
MKB Advisoryを設立した理由は、その40年間で培った知識と経験を、少しでも社会へ還元したいという想いからです。
以下、私がどのような経験を積み、何を大切にしてきたのかをご紹介します。
My Journey
Looking back on more than four decades in financial technology, I have had the privilege of working at the forefront of both industry transformation and technological innovation.
Throughout my career, I have served as a bridge between business and technology, strategy and execution, governance and innovation, as well as between financial institutions, technology vendors, and global hyperscalers.
Founding MKB Advisory is my way of giving back by sharing the knowledge and experience accumulated throughout that journey.
The following is a brief overview of my professional journey and the principles that have guided it.
Foundation
原点
子供の頃から科学やコンピュータに強い興味を持ち、東京大学理学部情報科学科でコンピュータサイエンスを学びました。
しかし、技術だけでなく経営や金融、そして世界にも挑戦したいという思いから銀行へ入行しました。
入行3年目には理系出身者として初めて社費留学生に選抜され、MIT Sloan School of ManagementにてMBAを取得。ファイナンスだけでなく、経営と技術を結び付ける視点を身につけることができました。
Foundation
My interest in science and technology began at an early age and led me to study Computer Science at the University of Tokyo.
Rather than pursuing a conventional engineering career, I chose banking because I wanted to combine technology, business, finance, and an international perspective.
Three years after joining the bank, I became the first employee with a science background to be selected for overseas graduate study, earning an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. There I learned not only finance, but also how technology and management together create business value.
Learning Through Transformation
大規模変革から学んだこと
帰国後に待っていたのは金融工学ではなく、数百億円規模の第四次オンラインシステム開発プロジェクトでした。
当初は意外な配属でしたが、この経験によって、大規模プロジェクトマネジメント、経営層への提案・説明、投資判断、組織横断の合意形成など、その後の40年間の基礎となる力を身につけました。
その後は、銀行初となるインターネットバンキング、全店へのWindows PC導入、LAN/WANネットワーク構築、電子メール導入、投資信託窓口販売開始など、多くの新しいサービス・技術導入を担当しました。
Learning Through Transformation
After returning from MIT, I expected to work in financial engineering. Instead, I was assigned to the Program Management Office of one of Japan’s largest banking system modernization projects.
Although unexpected at the time, this experience became the foundation of my career, teaching me project governance, executive communication, investment planning, and stakeholder alignment.
I later led numerous innovation initiatives, including one of Japan’s first Internet banking services, enterprise-wide PC deployment, corporate network modernization, email infrastructure, and new financial products.
Leading Industry Transformation
金融再編と経営改革
バブル崩壊後の金融再編では、メガバンク統合に伴うシステム統合方針の策定、数千億円規模のシステム統合プロジェクト、持株会社化、システム子会社再編、合弁会社設立など、多くの経営変革プロジェクトを担当しました。
その後はグループ中核システム会社へ転籍し、経営企画、人材育成、品質保証、パートナー戦略など、システム会社経営そのものにも携わりました。
さらに、クレジットカード、信販、リースなど銀行以外の金融事業のシステム統合や、外国銀行事業譲受、銀行売却など、グループ外企業との大型プロジェクトもPMとして成功に導きました。
Leading Industry Transformation
During Japan’s financial consolidation, I was deeply involved in mega-bank integration, enterprise-scale system integration, holding company restructuring, organizational transformation, and joint venture creation.
I later joined the group’s core technology company, where I took executive responsibility for corporate planning, human resource development, quality assurance, and strategic partnerships.
Beyond banking, I also led large-scale integration projects covering credit cards, consumer finance, leasing, acquisitions from foreign banks, and business divestitures.
Technology Leadership
技術と経営をつなぐ
経営会議メンバーとして、ITインフラ、サイバーセキュリティ、AI、量子コンピューティングなどの先端分野を担当しました。
海外ベンダーやグローバルハイパースケーラーとは、本社との直接対話を重ね、技術は「理解した上で導入する」という姿勢を貫きました。
その一環として、情報処理安全確保支援士や、日本ディープラーニング協会のAIエンジニア資格も取得しています。
Technology Leadership
As an executive board member, I oversaw infrastructure, cybersecurity, AI, quantum computing, and emerging technologies.
Rather than relying solely on experts, I have always believed that executives should understand the technologies they introduce.
This philosophy led me to work directly with global technology vendors and hyperscalers while also earning professional certifications in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
Industry Leadership
銀行間決済インフラへ
キャリアの最後には、銀行界を代表する決済インフラ組織へ転じ、初代CIOとしてITガバナンス改革、レガシーシステム刷新、オープンアーキテクチャへの移行、大規模開発プロジェクトを推進しました。
また、海外の決済事業者との直接交流を通じて、新たな国際決済モデルを提言し、将来のプロジェクト立ち上げにも貢献しました。
Industry Leadership
In the final stage of my corporate career, I became the first Chief Information Officer of Japan’s interbank payment network organization.
My responsibilities included strengthening IT governance, modernizing legacy systems, defining open architecture strategies, and launching one of the industry’s largest modernization programs.
International collaboration with overseas payment operators also enabled me to propose new cross-border payment concepts that evolved into future initiatives.

40年以上のキャリアを通じて、変わらない信念があります。
技術は社会に価値を生み出す。
だからこそ、新しい技術を学び続け、それを支える技術者を尊重することが重要です。
構想だけでは価値は生まれない。
企画し、説明し、人を巻き込み、最後まで実現することがリーダーの責任です。
世界には必ず先人がいる。
同じ課題に挑戦する人々と対話し、学び続ける姿勢が、新しい価値を生みます。
私が40年間で学んだのは、最後に重要なのは「技術」「人」「情報」、そしてそれらをつなぐ「信頼」であるということです。
What I Believe
Over the past forty years, several principles have consistently guided my career.
Technology creates lasting value.
Organizations must continue embracing innovation while respecting the people who make it possible.
Vision must be executed.
Ideas alone create little value. Leadership requires turning vision into reality through planning, communication, and disciplined execution.
Learning never stops.
Someone, somewhere in the world, is already solving a similar challenge. Curiosity, collaboration, and international dialogue are powerful drivers of innovation.
Ultimately, I believe that lasting success is built on the combination of technology, people, information, and trust.
